THE OLQE 2026 SHORT COURSE

The Paul Kent Legal Training OLQE 2026 Short Course is primarily for candidates who are unable or unwilling to register for the Paul Kent Legal Training OLQE 2026 Full Course (aka The Early Registration Package).

Experience shows that many candidates prefer to wait until their application to sit the OLQE has been approved by the Law Society of Hong Kong. But this may be very late. Candidates lack the time to absorb the law and to hone the skills they need to pass the exams.

In response to this problem, Paul Kent Legal Training has designed the OLQE 2026 Short Course (aka The Late Registration Package) .

The minimum period of study is 15 weeks.

The course commences when candidates complete the registration form. We advise candidates to register no later than July 5, 2026 to ensure they have sufficient time to prepare effectively to pass the examinations.

Candidates learn how to identify the areas of the syllabus being tested, and how to structure answers to the questions set, by studying the kinds of problems that occur in each of the Heads they must sit.

As with all Paul Kent Legal Training courses, registrants receive 24 hour learning support for the duration of their studies.

Who is it for?

The OLQE short course is primarily for common lawyers who have to sit no more than 3 of the 5 Heads of the OLQE. Candidates should register for the Heads they are required to sit. This may be 1, 2 or 3 Heads.

We advise candidates required to take 4 or 5 Heads to register for the Paul Kent Legal Training OLQE 2026 Full Course but, of course, they may register for the short course if they wish.
